As of 7:00PM Central Time, Ernesto has strengthened into a category 1 hurricane and is approximately four hours from making landfall approximately fifty miles south of Espiritu Santo Bay.  This means the Village of Punta Allen will the strongest onshore winds from the storm.

I spoke with Amy Rendon, Guide Charley’s wife, today and many folks in town are going to ride out what appears to be a manageable storm for now.  Stay tuned for updates and cross your fingers.
