It’s hard to believe that our spring season is at the halfway point. Our 5th Annual Permit Tournament is underway as we speak, and it’ll be time to kick off the summer season before we know it. It’s been a great 2017 thus far, and thank you a million times to all the wonderful guests who’ve come to see us so far this year. For those of you who are on the calendar for April and May, we hope you’re super stoked to head to visit our little corner of the Caribbean.

SET YOUR SIGHTS ON THE SUMMER SEASON!

The Palometa Club is open for the spring season until June 16. We then close for a month to allow the guides to gear up and enjoy the first few weeks of the commercial spiny lobster season before cranking things back up on July 14. With little activity from other lodges and huge schools of happy permit around, some of the most magical fishing of the year often occurs in the summer season. When you get the right weather, the summer months are without question the “best time of year” to fish for permit in our part of the world. Whether you are looking for your first permit or your 100th, wanting to catch a zillion bonefish, or take your chances at some larger summer migratory tarpon, there’s no better lodge or team of guides on the Yucatan Peninsula to make it happen.

Our summer season is a great time to take advantage a more mellow week at the Club.  Given the guides are checking their lobsters daily, we are rotating a maximum of 4 boats or 8 anglers through each week.  You won’t hardly see any other boats on the bay, and the lodge has a very peaceful and tranquil vibe compared to when we are running full tilt at 12 guests during the Spring season.
